What makes The Still Rooms special?
The whole experience – from the moment you enter our welcoming salon to the moment you leave. Lindsay and Claire take time to listen to your needs and tailor the treatments, ensuring every visit is an enjoyable and relaxing experience in a warm friendly environment.
Both therapists have a passion for the beauty industry continuously updating their training and knowledge, investigating and testing new products to ensure clients have access to the best available products and treatments.
Having worked together for over twenty years, Lindsay and Claire are firm friends as well as work colleagues. Both fully qualified, Lindsay has also worked in further education training the next generation of beauty therapists.
Since taking over the salon in 2011, word of mouth recommendations from satisfied clients has seen the business go from strength to strength and we continue to grow, adding regularly to the treatments we offer.
Meet Lindsay and Claire
Lindsay Collard
I love and live by the sea and when I’m not at the salon I spend as much time as I can enjoying the beach.
Starting a family prompted a career change and after completed my Level 3 Beauty qualifications I went on to complete a teaching degree and became Senior Lecturer in Beauty at Northbrook College, Worthing.
It’s every beauty therapist’s dream to own their own salon & I’m ever grateful to have had the opportunity to buy The Still Rooms. Beauty treatments & products have interested me for as long as I can remember and I'm constantly seeking out the latest treatments, technology & products. Every day's a school day!
Working in this industry is more than just a job for me, it's a passion.
Claire Strange
I’m a country girl at heart and love nothing more than spending time walking in the surrounding areas with my dogs and two lovely teenagers or meeting up with friends.
Having spent many years in retail management role 15 years ago I took the decision to follow another career path retraining in the beauty industry – turning a long standing interest and passion into a career path –constantly developing my skills to keep up with the ever changing world of beauty!
Throughout my time in the industry, I have been fortunate enough to work in both large salons and small independent salons such as The Still Rooms, where we aim to create a warm welcome for our clients – all of whom we now consider part of the Still Rooms family!
The very best part of my job is seeing my clients, leaving after treatments looking good, feeling good and relaxed ready to face the world.
